Okay, I'm going to give you guys MY opinion on the Stolen Easy Street Freecoaster Hub. I'm sure you've heard many rumors and people bash it, say "it sucks", "I feel sorry for you", and all that other crap. The reason it doesn't work when people use it is because they don't know how it works, they don't understand it. The biggest thing that you DON'T want to do with this freecoaster hub is insert grease into it, most freecoasters need grease, but this one doesn't. It runs off of 4 sealed bearings, that's why you DO NOT need to slap grease into it. I just got it working again because a friend's Dad figured it out, I would of never thought that it would work again, but he understood how it works and how he fixed is taking out the ALL grease (that I put in it), and did some other minor tweaks to it.
If you have not bought one and your thinking about getting one, make sure you understand the concept of it, it is a confusing design, but once you figure it out it can be the best freecoaster on the market (in my opinion). This one is harder to adjust than some other one's, but it's not like your going to need to adjust it all the time. Once you figure out the point of the slack that you want, then it'll be good to go.
If you currently have it and it's not working for you, simple take out the grease (if you put some in) and try in then if it doesn't work, mess around with it try to figure out the concept that Stolen has generously thought of you'll be on your way if you follow these steps (I hope haha).
Also, check out these links below for a couple ideas, I hope this helps and I've answered all your questions, if not, comment on this post or another and I will get back with you. BMX
